For several years, we had a dream of living somewhere in the Northwest. We dreamed of forests and rivers and beautiful seasons - a life more in touch with nature, a community of people.

Meanwhile, we had been living in Los Angeles for almost thirty years. We had a busy life and many friends; but we both felt the need for a change.

We took several exploratory trips, and in 2003, moved to Oregon.

THE STORY OF OUR MOVE TO EUGENE, OREGON
Jim & Elizabeth

This is where we live now.
We love our home.

Homes are so much more affordable here in Eugene.

We were surprised at how quickly we made friends here. Eugene has a real sense of community, and community involvement. It's a progressive city, with a wide diversity of people. It's a youthful city as well, with 20,000 students at the University of Oregon, and a large community college system. The arts flourish here, and are well supported. Each year, in July, Eugene hosts the famous international Bach Festival. About an hour and a half drive west takes you to the beautiful Oregon coast; and the same driving time east leads to the beautiful Cascade range and hiking and skiing in the winter. The Willamette Valley, which Eugene is part of, is becoming world famous for its wines. And just an hour and a half north is the cosmopolitan city of Portland.

If you are interested in moving to this wonderful city or the surrounding area, we're here to help you make that move. We'd like you to be as happy with your new home as we are with ours.
